The large 18cm backlit LCD display on the StarTrack was designed by industry experts and includes seven strategically placed HIIT (high intensity, interval training) keys (7 speed, 7 incline) for easy, safe access while running. New commercial grade running mat with white bottom fabric and diamond embossment on top (black in colour). The total thickness of the mat remains 2.5mm, but it is thicker on the bottom and thinner on the top. Less lubrication is advantageous because double texturised yarn absorbs less silicon oil, requiring less frequent lubrication. Its total usage life is nearly double that of the old mat. The overall new belt is much harder, and while it may be a little noisier than the old one, it is also much more difficult to stretch. Another advantage is that texturised double yarn discharges static electricity better than single yarn. so it protects the electronics on the treadmill and also greatly reduces the chance a user gets a static shock from the metal frame.
